On Monday Chris from Sport Canterbury came to teach Room 15 and Room 16 some new games.
We were learning skills that we can use for all different kinds of sports.
Some of the skills we were focusing on were:
* different ways to move e.g. skipping, hopping, side stepping, running, galloping.
* looking for space to move to (and trying to not bump into anyone else)
* throwing accurately
* communicating with team mates
It was tricky having to think of all of those things but with lots of practise we will get better each time.
Take a look at some of our action shots...
'Traffic Lights' oh no Luke, Chris and Shi Jian got tagged. |
Azuza can throw underarm. |
WAHOOO! Simon got a bean bag in the hoop. |
Cairo taking aim. |
Look how many bean bags are in the hoops - great aim everyone. |
It took lots of concentration to get the bean bags on the spots and in the hoops. |
Ready... Set... Go...! I wonder who will win? |
Room 15 and 16 are working in teams to score points by getting bean bags in the hoops. |
Well done Room 16 - you were the winners today. |
Beautiful balance. |
