Sequencing

On Friday Room 15 began making a Big Book after reading a story called Lunch Boxes.
First we got our lunch boxes, then Miss Drake took a photo of each of us as we began to make a giant lunch box tower.

This morning during math we worked as a class to sequence all 19 photos. The children then told me what they thought they had learnt and the skills they had to use during the activity.

"We had to use our counting," said Yi Zi Yu.
"We had to talk to each other, I think you call that co... com... comunicate?" said Luke.
"We were putting them in the right order," said Poppy.
"I used my before and after numbers to help me put my photo in the right place," said Isaac.

What great reflective learners we have in Room 15.

I wonder if you can sequence the first 4 photos?

This link will take you to a website that has some great counting, ordering, sequencing and skip counting games for kids to reinforce learning at home. http://www.topmarks.co.uk/ordering-and-sequencing/caterpillar-ordering
