Fun Day Friday

What a lovely day we had in Room 15 today.
This morning we made a daffodil each to show support for Daffodil Day. Thank you to everyone who made a donation to the Cancer Society - a very worthy organisation.
This week we were learning about fractions and today's maths challenge was to make a 'fraction fish' out of a variety of geometric shapes. The children had to think hard about what shapes they would leave whole, cut in half or cut in quarters. Next week we will be doing some descriptive writing about our fish creations.
In the afternoon we put our paint shirts on and learnt about warm and cool colours. Room 15 worked so well together. Miss Drake saw people sharing, taking turns, using their manners, problem solving, communicating and encouraging each other. You have created a lovely piece of art Room 15 - well done!

  1. What awesome collaborative learners you are Room 15. I think your warm and cool coloured fish looks amazing and shows how hard you must have worked together to come up with something so fabulous. Keep up the creative work and keep having fun!
